Amazon’s CEO Jeff Bezos is giving away 4% in Amazon shares worth $38bn to his Ex-wife MacKenzie Bezos in divorce settlement.
When the process has been completed, it is going to be the largest divorce settlement in history, and MacKenzie Bezos will become the world’s fourth-richest woman. The previous divorce record was $2.5bn paid to Jocelyn Wildenstein when she divorced Alec Wildenstein, an art dealer in 1999.
The 49 years old author, MacKenzie Bezos, who married Jeff in 1993, a year before he started the online shopping giant, Amazon from his garage in Seattle already promised to give away at least half of her fortune.
After handing over the large sum, Jeff will still remain at the top spot as the world’s richest man.
In a congratulatory tweet, Jeff shared,
