Nigerian Today - Orji Kalu

Former Governors James Ibori, Orji Kalu and Bola Tinubu have been caught together.

The trio who served together as governors of Delta, Abia and Lagos states respectively between 1999 and 2007 were recently pictured together.

They were pictured at the wedding of Kalu’s daughter, Neya to Iyere Lawrence in Lagos.

“They were caught together in a single shot…wonderful” a source stated.

The shot is a very unusual shot given their political pedigrees and all that has transpired in the lives of the three political players after they left office as governors.

Ibori returned this year after spending six years in jail in the United Kingdom for corruption – he remains a strong political power in his state and region.

Orji Kalu lost control of the politics of his state after installing a successor of his choice, he is undergoing prosecution for corruption and hounded from one political party to the other by his foes.

He is yet to recover lost political ground.

Tinubu still retains a vice grip on the politics of Lagos state but the same cannot be said of his hold or influence at the National level of All Progressives Congress, the party he co-founded and “helped” to install the incumbent president.

The recent picture showing the three politicians together has sparked of different manners of discourse as it becomes popular.

The trio threaded different political paths since they attained recognitions …until now?
